A Beautiful North Dakota Day

Well, yesterday it hit 86 degrees here in Shields, North Dakota! We were blessed with such a wonderful day, and much was accomplished in it. I ran to 'town' aka Bismarck to run a 'couple' errands which ended up taking me many hours. While away, Ann took care of the girls at her Wee Care Daycare and both girls really enjoyed themselves. Poor little things rarely get to spend the day with other children. I think Carrie is teething because after she got over being very excited to see her momma, kissing and playing, she decided she was going to be very cranky. She also decided she would fore-go her short evening nap, which was just fine because then she, again, fell asleep taking her 8pm bottle.
Ann put-up Jenna's swing in the tree by the mailbox. Jenna was so very excited about it and, after swinging for quite some time, decided it would be fun to lay in the grass and pet Herc, which they did beautifully, and near the end of the evening, after the temp had dropped 20 degrees in a matter of an hour or so, running was crossed off of the list.
Overall, it was a spendid day and full of fun for everyone. Preston and Delvin even got in on some fun of working a small herd of calves!
This morning was slightly cooler but Jenna is already outside with 'Duke' preparing to work a large herd of calves...about 70 to be exact. Preston, Delvin, and Ann will do that while I stay in with the girls uring naps, and I cook.
