A Baby Bunny


We love baby bunnies. Seriously. These girls go nuts, especially because of THIS. They still remember it. So today when Jenna heard that squeal, she knew to go running. Apparently, our cat Split thought it would be a fun playmate. The bunny thought differently. So Split was chasing it across the yard when Jenna locked-on and saved its life. (I am fairly certain Split would have just played with it rather than killing it but Jenna wasn't taking any chances) It was tiny, but had its eyes open. As soon as we found it, Jenna remembered that usually there's more and she was on the hunt! Unfortunately, one was all we found today. But we looked. Several times, in fact.







They had such fun with it, these sweet mothering girls of ours. Precious I tell you, just precious!

Merry Christmas 2024

Merry Christmas! This has been a big year for our family, full of wonderful memories, celebration, and change. In May, Jenna graduated from high school as the salutatorian. Her accomplishments were impressive but her speech made us swell with pride. Jenna spent the summer babysitting for our dear friends in Bismarck, a wonderful transition time for all of us. In August, we helped her move into the dorms at Trinity Bible College and she has been blessed in the process as she learns, grows, and finds community. She got to play a lot of Lions volleyball this fall, and we had some fun family adventures traveling to her games. She’s really looking forward to a TBC “GO trip” to minister in England in March! Carrie is now the oldest at home and just finished a great volleyball season as a solid middle hitter. Basketball is next. Kittens

This will probably be a favorite picture forever. This Spring we had a stray tom cat sneak in and we had four litters of kittens, 18 in all!  This litter of kittens loves playing with Amelia and will chase her around sometimes. She certainly loves them, and usually does a good job of handling the kittens with care. I said usually. She has just turned three. We'll let this one slide. Everyone escaped unharmed. =)
