Jenna's Seventh Birthday Party

My baby will be seven in a few days.  For months, she has been so excited about an ice cream cake, so I found a way to put a "7" on it, whip cream icing and all!  She was so happy.  I hope I remember this forever.    The girls ripping open the ice cream sandwiches, gently laying them on the pan, stirring a mess of chocolate fudge, pudding, and crunched up oreo cookies.  Chocolate all over the floor, and shaking sprinkles till she was satisfied.  She is a sweet girl.  She hates being reprimanded or corrected and always says sorry through her tears.  Oh, sweet, girl.  You are such a gift.  


Seven years old this week.


We actually made two cakes, just to make sure we had enough!


We were blessed to have lots of family and friends at her party!

Merry Christmas 2024

Merry Christmas! This has been a big year for our family, full of wonderful memories, celebration, and change. In May, Jenna graduated from high school as the salutatorian. Her accomplishments were impressive but her speech made us swell with pride. Jenna spent the summer babysitting for our dear friends in Bismarck, a wonderful transition time for all of us. In August, we helped her move into the dorms at Trinity Bible College and she has been blessed in the process as she learns, grows, and finds community. She got to play a lot of Lions volleyball this fall, and we had some fun family adventures traveling to her games. She’s really looking forward to a TBC “GO trip” to minister in England in March! Carrie is now the oldest at home and just finished a great volleyball season as a solid middle hitter. Basketball is next. Kittens

This will probably be a favorite picture forever. This Spring we had a stray tom cat sneak in and we had four litters of kittens, 18 in all!  This litter of kittens loves playing with Amelia and will chase her around sometimes. She certainly loves them, and usually does a good job of handling the kittens with care. I said usually. She has just turned three. We'll let this one slide. Everyone escaped unharmed. =)
