Back in North Dakota


We started our trek to the 'top' Dakota at about 4:30pm Tuesday afternoon, and we were here before 6:30am! We had a fairly easy trip and enjoyed a few hours following our friends the Boyer's as they were traveling the same direction at the same time - fun stuff!! The girls did GREAT and Jenna only watched one movie the whole trip. Both girls basically slept all night, except for at 3:30am, Jenna woke up, looked out to see it was dark, and said 'it not beautiful day yet?' We said no, she went back to sleep, and on we went!

Once we got here, both girls went nuts - they were so excited to be here! Jenna really enjoyed all the animals (suprise, suprise), especially Herc-y and Lil Bear, the new puppy (who is not doing well at the moment).

We are preparing for a lot of family coming this weekend, and looking forward to it!

Merry Christmas 2024

Merry Christmas! This has been a big year for our family, full of wonderful memories, celebration, and change. In May, Jenna graduated from high school as the salutatorian. Her accomplishments were impressive but her speech made us swell with pride. Jenna spent the summer babysitting for our dear friends in Bismarck, a wonderful transition time for all of us. In August, we helped her move into the dorms at Trinity Bible College and she has been blessed in the process as she learns, grows, and finds community. She got to play a lot of Lions volleyball this fall, and we had some fun family adventures traveling to her games. She’s really looking forward to a TBC “GO trip” to minister in England in March! Carrie is now the oldest at home and just finished a great volleyball season as a solid middle hitter. Basketball is next. Kittens

This will probably be a favorite picture forever. This Spring we had a stray tom cat sneak in and we had four litters of kittens, 18 in all!  This litter of kittens loves playing with Amelia and will chase her around sometimes. She certainly loves them, and usually does a good job of handling the kittens with care. I said usually. She has just turned three. We'll let this one slide. Everyone escaped unharmed. =)
